What we offer our students
Debating
At Windang Public School, debating is a dynamic co-curricular program that empowers students to become confident speakers, critical thinkers, and collaborative team members.
South Coast Dance Festival
We proudly participate in the South Coast Dance Festival, a
prestigious co-curricular program that celebrates creativity and expression. This is open to our Stage 2 and Stage 3 students.
NSW Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition
We proudly participate in the NSW Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition, an engaging co-curricular program that encourages students to explore ideas of multiculturalism, identity, and respect through public speaking.
School Student Leadership Team
We believe leadership is something every student can demonstrate. Badge or no badge, we are all still leaders.
Nagoya and Operation Art
At Windang Public School, creativity is celebrated. Guided by our motto “Success with Honour”, our specialised Visual Arts program inspires students to explore their imagination, expression, and creativity.
Southern Stars
Students in Years 3-6 at Windang Public School have the opportunity to participate in the Southern Stars Arena Spectacular.
Sporting Gala Days
Students enjoy a range of interschool sporting opportunities that build teamwork, confidence and school spirit.
PSSA
Windang Public School proudly takes part in the Mid South PSSA competition, which involves 12 primary schools from across our local area.
We offer students in Years 3 to 6 the opportunity to participate in the annual Wollongong Schools’ Choral Festival.
At Windang Public School, students from Years 1 to 6 have the opportunity to be part of our vibrant school choir.
All students from Kindergarten to Year 6 at Windang Public School take part in the annual Community of Schools Public Speaking Competition.
Each year, Windang Public School offers all students from Years 3 to 6 the opportunity to participate in the Premier’s Spelling Bee, a program designed to promote improved literacy for students.
School Swimming and Water Safety Program
The School Swimming and Water Safety Program is a key part of our commitment to student wellbeing and skill development. All students Years 2-6 have the opportunity to participate.
