Debating

At Windang Public School, debating is a dynamic co-curricular program that empowers students to become confident speakers, critical thinkers, and collaborative team members.

Stage 3 students have the opportunity to join our Debating Team and represent the school in the NSW Premier’s Debating Challenge, competing against other schools across the region.

Through debating, students learn to think deeply about important issues, construct persuasive arguments, and listen actively to opposing viewpoints. These experiences build valuable skills in communication, teamwork, and reasoning, while fostering respect for diverse perspectives.

Our debaters have proudly represented Windang Public School in regional competitions, demonstrating excellence, resilience, and school spirit. The program nurtures confidence, leadership, and a lifelong appreciation for thoughtful discussion and informed debate.
