Excursions

At Windang Public School, we strongly believe in the value of outdoor education. Situated between the shores of Lake Illawarra and the Tasman Sea, we embrace our unique environment as an extension of the classroom. Excursions, cultural experiences and our Stage 3 camp complement classroom learning by providing authentic, hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence and deepen students' understanding of the world around them.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

We believe some of the most meaningful learning happens beyond the school gates. Throughout the year, students from Kindergarten to Year 6 participate in a wide variety of educational experiences that enrich learning, encourage curiosity and help students develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and independence.

The outstanding support of our families enables us to provide numerous high-quality excursions and learning experiences each year, ensuring every student has opportunities to connect their classroom learning with the real world.

Every excursion at Windang Public School has a clear educational purpose. Our excursions are carefully aligned to our Kindergarten to Year 6 Curriculum Maps, ensuring they directly support the teaching and learning taking place in every classroom.

Students participate in experiences that enhance learning across English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, History, Geography, Creative Arts, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education, providing meaningful opportunities to apply their knowledge in authentic settings.
